This toolbox session discusses the safe way to refuel a vehicle. It trains how to prevent fuel from coming into contact with heat or naked flames and how to prevent a build-up of fumes in confined areas.

Learning Outcomes:

At the completion of this course, learners will:

  1. Understand the importance of cleaning up spilt fuel, washing their hands and cleaning up fuel on their clothing.
  2. Learn that fuel can easily ignite and to keep flames, and spark-producing devices at a safe distance when refuelling.
  3. Learn how to prevent static electricity from building up.
  4. Learn to refuel in a well-ventilated area to prevent fumes from building up in confined areas.
