This toolbox session discusses the safe way to refuel a vehicle. It trains how to prevent fuel from coming into contact with heat or naked flames and how to prevent a build-up of fumes in confined areas.
Learning Outcomes:
At the completion of this course, learners will:
- Understand the importance of cleaning up spilt fuel, washing their hands and cleaning up fuel on their clothing.
- Learn that fuel can easily ignite and to keep flames, and spark-producing devices at a safe distance when refuelling.
- Learn how to prevent static electricity from building up.
- Learn to refuel in a well-ventilated area to prevent fumes from building up in confined areas.
