There are noise exposure standards that your organisation must comply with to prevent damage to your employees hearing. Workplace noise that exceeds the exposure standard must, so far as reasonably practicable, be reduced to non-hazardous exposure levels where you eliminate the hazard or control the risk.
This course works through the hierarchy of controls to determine the most practicable control measures to reduce exposure to noise in your workplace. The training provides practical examples to help you to select your control measures. A simple test that you can do to assess the effects of occupational exposure to noise and its impact on your hearing is also provided.
