Managing major emergencies such as COVID-19 requires workplaces to be vigilant in their safety, health and well-being practices. Workplaces must do what they can to stop the spread of the virus and practice social distancing, social isolation and personal hygiene.
This module provides a step-by-step guide to personal hygiene practices, including hand-washing, avoiding physical contact with workmates such as handshaking and kissing. It investigates the requirements of social distancing and advises on how to work in teams, groups and gatherings. The training advises on what to do if you think your employee is showing coronavirus symptoms. Information is provided on who to contact for advice and further help.
The module investigates the impact of new work regimes such as self-isolating and working from home on employee mental health. It offers strategies to manage increased levels of anxiety and isolation.
The COVID-19 and Your Workplace module is available as part of our Mental Health training modules.
